I bought this TV wanting the best I could afford. I didn’t buy this at Amazon but another online vendor. Anyways I’m comparing this TV to my Sony SXRD (DLP) TV. It looks so much better maybe due to the fact that I could see the “screen door effect” on my older TV. I love the fact the speakers are optional since I already have my theater setup. The appearance of the TV is excellent, very beautiful to look at first hand. Once setup at the house, it looks so good. I’m sad to see Pioneer discontinue making TVs cause I’m shocked or blown away at how good this TV performs on HD content. Just an overall fantastic TV, I hope it lasts me for the next decade or at least until OLEDs are practical and affordable.

I ordered my Samsung PN63B550 a week ago and it arrived 5 days later. Amazon ordering was easy and tracking my order online was very accurate on their delivery time. My tv was delivered two days before the actual delivery date from Amazon. It was ship by Pilot delivery service and they only sent one person to carry my tv from the delivery truck to inside my home. I had to help assist the delivery guy to take it out of it’s packing material and place it on top of the stand. That was only thing i was dissappointed with I would suggest you call Amazon first before ordering and ask for a white glove deliver service instead. This was my first Samsung plasma Tv and I am thorougly satisfied with my order picture is wonderfull and movies on HD never looked so good on this 63″ mammoth. If your looking for the best Tv for watching sports and movies look no further. I also saved $700 dollars when ordering through Amazon compared to Best Buy and Frys Electronics. Hands down the best Plasma Samsung has ever made. To many features to list like mega dynamic contrast and 600hz motion picture and 24fps for more relistic movie experience and uses 50% less energery compared to last year models.

I received this TV with great expectations, but within 10 minutes of viewing, I decided to go through the pain of returning this large item.br /br /I have 2 other Samsung TV’s, and I was particularly impressed with their A650 series LCD TV (LN46A650). I expected same type of vividness out of this B550, but unfortunately, this one doesn’t even come close.br /br /The brightness level is all off, and the color bleeds all over the screen. After some tweaking, I concluded that the trouble is something more fundamental. Basically we are dealing with something that cannot be adjusted via user interface. Flesh color looks dead on the screen, and HD signal doesn’t help either.br /br /Maybe they cut the cost too much this year. Maybe 550 series was never meant to complete with A650 series. I’m willing to give one more try with A650 plasma series from 2008, as B550 is the only item for 2009 so far.br /br /I just hope I don’t have to go through too much trouble returning this TV. I also hope that Samsung gets their act together and put out better product in the large category.

I have had my 63B550 for about two weeks now. The picture is amazing. The colors are great, and it’s a bright set. No signs of IR at all. I’d recommend it.

The TV arrived in good condition and we are thoroughly enjoying the picture and programs watched. It was easy to set up and ready to view in a short time.

The Samsung PNA760 50″ plasma television is amazing and Amazon White Glove delivery is top notch.br /br /The White Gloves Delivery man and I unpack the television, placed it atop my entertainment center, plug it end, and turned it on. The picture was incredible without any adjustments. We currently have 4 flat screen televisions in our home, two LCDs and two Plasmas. Although the LCDs are excellent televisions, they pale in comparison to the two plasmas. The primary differences are motion blur and black level. br /br /My only negative comment concerning the PNA760 50″ plasma is reflection glare. Probably would not want to place this Television in a brightly lighted room without heavy curtains to block out ambient light sources while viewing. In a dark room this television is perfect in all aspects. I highly recommend Amazon’s white glove delivery too.br /

This was a great experience all around. Not only does the 50″ Samsung plasma have a beautiful picture, it also has enough inputs for a number of peripherals, ie, Wii, karaoke, BluRay, DVR, and older DVD/VCR player. I had a hard time locating this particular model but Amazon had one via VANN’s. My only complaint is that none of the TVs I looked at mentioned that you need extra cables to connect the various peripherals. The quick-connect instructions accompanying the TV gives a list of several different cables available, and lists these in “good, better, best” format for picture quality.

The picture is amazing, even with standard definition telivision. Blu-Ray looks breathtaking. Another nice feature is being able to connect to your home network watch picture, movies, listen to music all without a media center extender. Amazon shipped the item very quickly it arrived at the delvery hub by VESA. VESA, on the other hand, held on to the item for about two weeks without calling to set up a date to deliver. I had to call Amazon ask why they were not delivering, needless to say it was delivered the next day. Other than the contractor amazon uses, it was a great experience.

I was originally going to buy a Kuro 50 inch plasma after looking at all the online reviews from many different sites. The Samsung 650 was also ranked very high, but there were some small negatives about the tv (some glare issues primarily) that had me holding off for the Kuro. Amazon originally had the Kuro for about 2k, but I didn’t pull the trigger quick enough, and then it went away, and I couldn’t find it anywhere for under $2,500. br /br /I wasn’t sure if I was going to go ahead and buy the 650 when I looked on Amazon one day and saw the new 50 inch 760 on sale for $1,599.00. After reading some professional reviews on this product (there wasn’t a whole lot due to how new it was), I decided that this was an upgrade from the slightly older model, and decided to pull the trigger. Best decision I could have made! Not sure if experts still rank the Kuro higher than this television, but if they do, the Kuro must be out of this world, because this Samsung is UNBELIEVABLE. This is my first plasma tv purchase, and I was used to watching television on a 36″ Panasonic traditional tv, but after seeing the picture on the Samung, I was blown away. Watching sports on tv makes you feel as if you are at the event. The color is amazing, the tv looks nice, and the swivel on the stand allows me to turn the tv to face me when my wife isn’t around. It even makes bad movies good (think Spiderman 3), awful movie, but awesome special effects in high def! I think the sound was decent as well, but it didn’t have enough booming bass for me, so with the money I saved over the Kuro, I purchased a Denon soundbar to go along with the plasma to add better surround sound and booming bass. Now wherever I am seated in the room, I can turn my components to face me and enjoy a pretty good surround sound system. If you don’t want to add a surround sound system, this tv handled sound well, but as I say I was really looking for more booming bass when I watched movies. It would have been great if there was a way to add a subwoofer directly to this television, something the Kuro has, but not the Samsung.br /br /There is a teeny glare on the OUTSIDE edge of the television on the part that is not actually the screen(not sure why Samsung made it almost a mirror like edge), but nothing that is too distracting, and I got used to it pretty quickly. I have this in my living room which gets very little light when the shades are closed, but even with lights on, or during the day, the glare issue on this tv is not noticeable. I was a little leary given past Samsung reviews, but I can tell you that if possible glare is holding you back from buying this tv, don’t think twice about it…not an issue. Also, you can watch this tv from anywhere in the room and see it clearly. The controls on the remote are extremely functionable, and everything is VERY easy to setup and tweak.br /br /The other part of this purchase that is EXTREMELY important, and should be emphasized, is the process of buying DIRECTLY through Amazon.com. As long it is directly through Amazon.com (and not through an affiliate), shipping is included in the price, and the company handling the deliveries is TOP NOTCH. When I initially looked around for purchase possibilities, the thing that bothered me was that most companies had a policy where they would deliver the plasma to your front door only. You had to open the box, make sure that it worked, and then sign for it. If there was any type of problem, some would tell you to refuse delivery, and others would tell you that you had to get it fixed through the warranty process! The last thing I wanted to do was to get a defective set, and then have to get someone here to fix it! When I went with Amazon.com, the company delivering for them brought the plasma into my house, took it out of the box, put it on the open table, hooked it up, put batteries in the remote, setup the initial configuration, and made sure that it was working fine BEFORE I signed for it. This piece of mind often called “white glove service” elsewhere costing anywhere from $100 - $150 additional dollars was ABSOLUTELY free with Amazon.com. I can’t stress enough how important this was. I had read about this service beforehand, and it was a primary reason (along with cost) as to why I was pretty much holding off until I found the right television on Amazon. This service alone made my purchase through Amazon.com worth the price over other services, but the price was also also at the lower range of ANYWHERE else. A friend of mine owns an electronics store, and told me point blank that he doesn’t understand how Amazon.com can price merchandise the way they do it, but he had heard good things about them, and although it would hurt him by recommending Amazon.com, he told me to buy from them if the price was right.br /br /I highly recommend this television as well as purchasing from Amazon.com. The final way you know how happy I am with this purchase is to keep the following in mind….I RARELY spend the time to enter reviews after purchases, but I was so happy with this purchase, that I couldn’t wait to share my experience with everyone on Amazon.com

I really am glad I purchased this TV. I read reports about it heating up at the corners but I have had no such experience with it. I like the picture and sound quality for normal TV and its not bad for movies either. I did hook up a receiver for 7:1 though. Its a great TV, sleek and I didn’t realize for a month that I could touch the edges to control sound, power. Nice feature, The touch of red thing really isnt a big deal. I suppose there is a slight aesthetic appeal but not a buying consideration. Nice inputs/outputs and even a direct network input port - although I haven’t used that feature.

Pro’s:br /This was my best purchased on-line so far. I’ve researched this TV for several months. I believe I did almost a year of researching before I decide to buy this TV. Since I didn’t need to replace my current set I took my time and did my investigation for the best fit for me and my family. I love the colors and the sharpness of the picture. Consumer Reports gave the 50″ model high praise and mention that they didn’t review the 58″ but determine that the results shouldn’t be any different. So I went for the 58″. Oh baby did it pay off! Since the prices of movie tickets went up I decided that a 58″ would be better for watching DVD’s and it would feel more like a movie theater. Just like being at the movies. I haven’t even tried the High Definition yet and I’m still blown away. Watching the March Madness on this TV is nothing short of spectacular. The blacks are as good or even better than reported. The fast motion is not jittery or boxy like you would get with a LCD’s at that size. Going thru Amazon was also a great experience. The truck drivers that delivered the set said “Oh, you got this from Amazon, so you get the grade A delivery service”. They helped me unwrap the box. Had me closely inspect it and we turned it on to confirmed it was working. They would have taken the box but they recommended that I keep the box just in case I had to return it within the 30 days. br /br /Cons:br /The only thing I can say is that I don’t like the mute button feature. When you mute the sound you get a speaker display that won’t disappear and scrolls up and down the side of the screen. It is totally annoying. The remote is cool but I am not too crazy about it. Too big and not that smartly designed but if those are the only complaint’s I really can’t complain.br /br /Conclusion:br /I’ve been to several big name stores and was able to see this TV up close. The best price was $2,800.00. Eat your heart out retailers, I got this great system for as little as $1,920.00 total. That includes shipping and taxes.br /br /Samsung PN58A650 58-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV with RED Touch of Color

All in all this is an excellent television. Blu-ray movies are absolutely beautiful, and standard DVDs upscaled by my PS3 don’t look bad either. HDMI cables provide a noticeably better picture than any other input. The only thing that doesn’t look so good on this TV are SD TV channels. These tend to be very grainy. In terms of calibration, you really don’t need to spend $400 to have someone calibrate the TV to make it look good. Just play around with the settings until you get it the way you want it. br /br /As mentioned in the title, burn-in is problematic on this television. Do not leave any menu screen on the television for more than a couple minutes. Make sure that if you do get artifacts on the screen that you use the scrolling anti burn-in tool. This has saved me a couple of times already. Also, make sure to utilize the pixel shift function, and remember to turn the brightness and contrast down if you ever play video games where you have a still image in the corner of the screen. br /br /My only other complaint is that the speakers that are built into the TV aren’t very good. You will need a home theatre system to go with this TV. Even an inexpensive system will greatly improve the sound quality. The home theatre is a must have with this TV.br /br /All in all this TV is a great value. It has some small problems, but no TV is perfect.

We love our new Samsung Plasma HDTV. The color and clarity is fantastic! We like it so much better than the LCD’s. You can see it clearly from all angles, and fast motion sports and movies are no problem. We ordered it through Amazon and it was delivered on the date we were quoted in great condition. If you are considering this TV, it is totally worth every penny.

The Television is awsome. I also purchased the hdmi cables (6 foot at $9.50 each) and the tilt wall mount for $89.00 that holds up to 200 lbs.br /The white glove delivery was great. They brought it down to my basement, unpacked the TV hooked it up, made sure it was working, and took away the big box. I had originally purchase the 50″ but returned it for the 58″. Amazon had the guys pick up the 50″ when they delivered the 58″. I only had to pay $79 for the delivery for the 50″ back to Amazon and of course the additional cost of the 58″. Ive had the new 58″ for a month and love it.

After my first purchase and install, it was so easy and such a great mount, I bought two more to hang my other TV’s. All three TVs were Paniconinc’s.

If you are buying a 58″ or larger flat panel this is the mount you need. I bought two others that claimed to support up to 60″ TVs but neither was actually wide enough for the 60″ Kuro. This thing is very solid, very flexible and has all the hardware I can ever imagine needing. The actual wall plate can also be made long enough to be offset with regards to the TV center in order to hit 3 studs. This is my 2nd Sanus wall mount and I’d buy another in a second if needed. br /br /Delivery time and shipping / communication are another story. The company that actually sold this took a long time to actually ship it, didn’t provide tracking information and didn’t package it in anything other than the original product display. It was ripped up terribly by the time UPS got it to me but luckily none of the parts fell out. Next time I will probably pay more to get it from someone more established / reputable in order to get better service.

This TV Mount is a very solid mount that comes in two formats, one is flat against the wall and the other lets you tilt it down a certain degree. Other than having to buy 4 new metric bolts, the TV required, and reaming out the grooves a little. it was very easy to install and you could hang your car from it. I understand that there was an accessory kit now available for the Sharp TV.

I concur with the reviews about how easy it is to use this system. The retailer however left a lot to be desired. The retailer did not communicate with me. Even though the retailer advertised the product was in stock, it took over two weeks to ship. I had to call the retailer to find out the status of the order. The product is very good and the retailer was less than stellar.
