  TV quit working after 3 months and Samsung won’t honor their warranty.br /They will neither repair nor replace. Serviceman says physical damagebr /is not covered.br / It’s as if they are suggesting that we did something to make it stop br /working but they wont tell us what we could’ve done. There is no outwardbr /sign of damage. br /They say they will send another man out but never do.br /Everytime I call I am told someone will call me back within 2 working daysbr /and no one ever calls. br /I am at wits end. I don’t know what to do. Can anyone help me?

  I’ve been looking at HD TV’s for a year. I was weary of discussing pros and cons with sales people who seemed weary of their jobs and provided little info. Luckily, my daughter’s significant other took the time to sit with me and go over the pros and cons of various TVs and which bells and whistles did I need and which were overkill. Then he told me what a great experience he had buying from Amazon. So I tried it and I was thoroughly impressed. My 40″ Samsung Samsung LN40A550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTVis terrific, delivery was quick and efficient, and there was no shipping charge! Now, if we could just get our government to run as effeciently as Amazon…

  I researched all over and was set on a 40″ v- series Sony. Went to a store to see it in person and this Samsung 40″ 550 was $400 cheaper and stole the show. Then looked online and found a great deal here. My only gripe was the shipping took about a week longer than promised. But this deal and TV is worth the wait.

  I bought this TV a little more than month ago from Bestbuy. I was very impress with the picture quality, my eyes were glued to the screen, the clarity and color was amazing after I change around the picture setting. until a few weeks ago the TV turned off by it self and it turned on again after about 2 seconds. I thought I did something wrong with my set up. I went over the set up all over again according to the manual, but it is still happening. br /br /Until one night it happened twice about 30 minutes apart, and I decided to exchange it with the same exact model. However, after about 2 weeks it happened again!!!! Twice in a row two different TVs??? are you kidding me?? I thought Samsung TV suppose to be one of the best??? I took it back and bought Samsung LN40B530 instead, a lower model but newer. So far, it works just fine, and picture quality is just as amazing. Don’t buy this TV, save your time and money for other model!!

  After months of indecision, Amazon’s great price and free shipping got me off the dime on this and I’m so glad. I have HDTV service from my cable provider and made connection with HDMI, and am absolutely delighted with the picture. The sound is pretty good from the t-v, better than average, br / and certainly adequate for news, talk, etc., but for other content I crank up my home theatre.br /br /Amazon’s free shipping provided a lot more service than I had anticipated. I expected the box to be dropped in my co-op’s receiving room and that I’d have to do the rest. Instead, these guys made a delivery appointment, brought it up to my apartment, unpacked it, and got it going. They were polite and efficient. A lot more than I expected for free shipping. A major bricks-and-mortar retail chain wanted $300 more for the same t-v and $100 more to deliver it. Way to go Amazon.

  I have had the TV for about a month now and love it! The sound is not the greatest, but if you play with it a little bit you can get it to sound pretty good. I will be buying surround sound soon so it’s not a big deal to me. I have not noticed any motion blur (being it’s 60hz). Definately recommended! I hope it lasts along time…

  I’ve purchased this TV for about 6 months now and I’m very happy with it. Here’s some guidance for new buyers:br /br /- Initially I was a little disappointed because when you don’t have HD, the image does seem a little pixelated. However, use the Samsung software option in their menus and enable the automatic smoothing, and you’ll see quite an improvement.br /br /- I hooked up the TV to the computer and it works great. A PC resolution of 1280×800 is sufficient. It’s easy to browse the net, watch videos, checks email and type out documents on the TV, it’s great. I do recommend a wireless keyboard and mouse with this setup.br /br /- If your PC doesn’t support PCI-X (PCI Extreme) video cards (which are the cards that handle HDMI output — and that is desirable because one HDMI cable can carry both video and sound), then you need to hook up 2 cables, one for video (get a long VGA cable) and one for sound (standard 3.5mm RC jack), and connect the 2 cables from the PC to the TV.br /br /- Lots of people complain about the sound not being amazing, but you really don’t notice any mediocricy if you hook up the TV to a surround sound system. Problem solved.br /br /All in all, for me this TV was a really worthwhile investment.br /br /br /

  I’ve owned this tv for a few weeks and i have to say i am very happy with it. The picture with Xbox 360, Playstation and blu-ray is fabulous.br /Also a plus is that you hardly get any glare from windows or lights in the screen. Only downside I have really seen is that the speakers in the tv don’t have good sound. Though this isn’t really a problem considering i don’t use them anyways. And the price for the Tv was the cheapest high quality television i could find.br /

  Between the recession and the introduction of the 240Hz LCD TV’s, the price for this big beauty is down nicely.br /br /We watch movies, Hi-Def cable shows and kid shows in my family, mostly, and this TV does a fantastic job with each. If your focus isn’t on sports, this is an excellent television and a very good deal right now.br /br /If you haven’t bought a TV in a few years, or this is a step up, be warned! there are a lot of options and features to work with. It is worth your time to learn them, but it does take a little time. If you routinely upgrade your computers or cell phone every couple years, you’ll be fine. If you don’t, be prepared to spend some time learning what this beast of a TV can do for you.br /br /I recommend it and would buy it again.

  I received the TV as promised after a mix up in scheduling the delivery. The TV was in great condition. I did have a problem with the delivery. They came late past the window of time they gave me and didn’t give me a call 1 hour before. I had to call them to get the status. There was only one delivery guy and I had to help him bring the TV into my home. Good thing I didn’t need the TV upstairs. He didn’t do any testing to make sure the TV worked. Overall I was please with the price and the TV itself.

  The picture quality is very clear and sharp. We have DISH Network. I feel confident to say this is a excellent tv to buy for your first purchase of HDTV for its size.

  I am very proud of this purchase. It is the perfect size for my bedroom. The picture is great. The only thing I don’t like is the plastic base. It looks a bit cheap. But, other than that, I have no complaints.
